epa04719509 A photo taken 23 April 2015 of a view into a corridor of a bunker built for former Yugolav President Josip Broz Tito and his regime near the Bosnian town of Konjic. The compound was meant as a shelter and operating headquarters for Tito and the county’s ruling clique in case of a nuclear attack against the then multiethnic state of Yugoslavia. It is dug into the underground at a depth of 270 metres and was completed in 1979 – just one year ahead of Tito’s death – after it was built and equipped for 26 years. According to reports the underground building was designed for up to 350 persons to live and work for at least half a year without returning to the surface and – if restocked with supplies would still serve its purpose – the reports say.
