Ιταλία: Αυτά είναι τα νέα ευρήματα που ρίχνουν φως στην ζωή των σκλάβων της Πομπηίας

Οι ζωές του σκλάβων που φρόντιζαν ώστε να περνούν καλά οι πλούσιοι αρχαίοι Ρωμαίοι στις πολυτελείς κατοικίες τους στην Πομπηία αποκαλύπτονται τώρα χάρη σε μια ανασκαφή που έγινε έξω από τα τείχη της αρχαίας πόλης κοντά στην Νάπολη.

Η αρχαιολογική σκαπάνη έφερε στο φως τα έπιπλα ενός δωματίου που είχε παραχωρηθεί σε σκλάβους στην βίλα Τσίβιτα Τζουλιάνα (περίπου 600 μέτρα από τα τείχη της αρχαίας Πομπηίας).

Τα ευρήματα είναι σχεδόν 2.000 ετών, σύμφωνα με το ιταλικό υπουργείο Πολιτισμού που έκανε την σχετική ανακοίνωση.

Έπιπλα και υφάσματα, καθώς και τα λείψανα πολλών άλλων θυμάτων της έκρηξης του Βεζούβιου το 79 μ.Χ., είχαν καλυφθεί από το πυροκλαστικό σύννεφο, το οποίο στη συνέχεια έγινε στερεό έδαφος ενώ οργανική ύλη σε αποσύνθεση άφησε ένα κενό στο έδαφος: ένα αποτύπωμα που, όταν γέμισε με γύψο, αποκάλυψε την αρχική του μορφή.
