BAFTA: Πρίγκιπας Γουίλιαμ και Κέιτ Μίντελτον έλαμψαν στο κόκκινο χαλί - Ντι Κάπριο, Στόουν, Μπελούτσι στα βρετανικά Όσκαρ, όλες οι αφίξεις

Tα φώτα είναι στραμμένα στο Λονδίνο, όπου πραγματοποιείται το βράδυ της Κυριακής (22.02.2026) η 79η τελετή απονομής των βραβείων BAFTA (British Academy Film Awards). Μάλιστα, από το απόγευμα διάσημα πρόσωπα της υποκριτικής τέχνης παγκοσμίως αλλά και γαλαζοαίματοι άρχισαν να συγκεντρώνονται στο κόκκινο. Τα βλέμματα όλων έκλεψαν φυσικά ο πρίγκιπας Γουίλιαμ και η Κέιτ Μίντλετον, που πραγματοποίησαν την πρώτη τους δημόσια εμφάνιση μετά τη σύλληψη του έκπτωτου πρίγκιπα Άντριου.

Ο πρίγκιπας Γουίλιαμ της Ουαλίας και η Κέιτ Μίντλετον έφτασαν στα βραβεία BAFTA μαζί με την Τζέιν Μίλιτσιπ, διευθύνουσα σύμβουλο της Βρετανικής Ακαδημίας Κινηματογράφου και Τηλεόρασης, και τον λόρδο και ανθυποπλοίαρχο του Μείζονος Λονδίνου Κεν Ολίσα.

Η τελετή των BAFTA φιλοξενείται στο Royal Festival Hall του Λονδίνου, με παρουσιαστή τον Σκωτσέζο ηθοποιό Alan Cumming, που ανέλαβε για πρώτη φορά την παρουσίαση, παίρνοντας τη σκυτάλη από τον David Tennant.

Οι ταινίες που έχουν συγκεντρώσει τις υποψηφιότητες των BAFTA είναι το «One Battle After Another», το «Sinners» και το «Hamnet» και το «Marty Supreme». Η πρώτη είναι η ταινία δράσης του Paul Thomas Anderson ηγείται της κούρσας με 14 υποψηφιότητες, γράφοντας ιστορία ως η ταινία με τις περισσότερες αναφορές στις μακρές λίστες του θεσμού και η δεύτερη, που ακολουθεί με 13 υποψηφιότητες, αποτελεί την ταινία με τις περισσότερες υποψηφιότητες από μαύρο σκηνοθέτη – τον Ryan Coogler – στην ιστορία των BAFTA.
