Άλλον έναν νεκρό εντόπισαν το απόγευμα της Τρίτης (20.01.2026) τα σωστικά συνεργεία σε ό,τι έχει απομείνει από τα δύο τρένα που συγκρούστηκαν στο Αδαμούθ της Ανδαλουσίας, στη νότια Ισπανία, ανεβάζοντας τον αριθμό των θυμάτων σε 42. Σε 150 ανέρχονται οι τραυματίες, 13 εκ των οποίων σοβαρά. Αγωνία για τους αγνοούμενους.
Ο τραγικός απολογισμός δεν είναι ακόμη οριστικός, σχεδόν 48 ώρες μετά το δυστύχημα με τα δύο τρένα υψηλής ταχύτητας, το οποίο συγκλόνισε την Ισπανία.

Οι έρευνες στα συντρίμμια συνεχίζονται και είναι ανοιχτό το ενδεχόμενο να βρεθούν και άλλοι νεκροί. «Άλλο ένα θύμα βρέθηκε σε ένα από τα βαγόνια Άλβια (σ.σ. στο τρένο της Renfe) σήμερα το απόγευμα», ανέφεραν οι τοπικές αρχές σε ανακοίνωσή τους.
Σύμφωνα με ισπανικά μέσα ενημέρωσης, η έρευνα για τα αίτια του δυστυχήματος επικεντρώνεται σε έναν σπασμένο σύνδεσμο στις σιδηροτροχιές. Ωστόσο, παραμένουν ακόμα αναπάντητα πολλά ερωτηματικά για το τι οδήγησε σε αυτήν την καταστροφή.
Τα σωστικά συνεργεία έχουν μεταφέρει μεγάλους γερανούς, προκειμένου να μπορέσουν να σηκώσουν τα βαγόνια που έχουν εκτροχιαστεί και ανατραπεί, καθώς κάτω από την παραμορφωμένη μάζα μετάλλων εκτιμάται ότι έχουν εγκλωβιστεί κι άλλα θύματα, ζωντανά ή νεκρά!
